A Father's Shining Moment

Tonight's the night.

All the men will say.

Hail! The pigskin.

Did you see that play?

(HEY) Look over there.

That's our son.

All suited up.  Ready for fun.

Down on the field, balls headed this way.

He catches it YES! HOORAY!

Right, left, he spins around,

A would be tackler hits the ground.

It seems like forever.

But in the blink of an eye.

He's scored a touchdown.

There's a tear in my eye.

He jumps up and down.

Raises his hands.

His eyes gaze up into the stands.

The crowd, The team all cheer the play.

BUT I'M THE PROUDEST ONE TODAY!

Baseball

Bats, balls, bases, gloves.

They're all part of a sport we love.

Giants, Expos, Yankees, Cubs.

Flags and jets fly up above.

Each crowd filled stadium on opening day.

All hot dog vendors earning their pay.

Waiting for that thunderous call.

Gentlemen: "Let's play ball!"

LIFE

Dark skies child cries.

Empty volumes of sound cluster around.

Drawing you into a make believe world.

One of fantasy and reality.

The constant fear of not knowing, when or how.

Or is it knowing that pushes us on.

To complete our destiny.

To go the distance, find blue skies child smiles.

Multitudes of music coming together in a triumphant crescendo.

One that makes your heart race, your pulse intensify.

To enjoy life to the fullest.

Or to dwell in our own shallow self pity.

The despair of what we made ourselves.

Do we look in the mirror and see ourselves.

Are we who we are or who we want to be.

Are we the same inside as out.

Go ahead, ask the image in the mirror.

It has the answer.

BUT DO YOU WANT TO HEAR IT!

Traveling Man

Daylight delights,

Starry nights

Passions grow well into the night.

Limbs entwine,

Over bent spines.

I reach over and touch,

Her smooth behind.

Temperatures rise,

As we rub thighs.

Looking for treasure

Like a couple of spies.

My heart is racing,

Pounding through my chest.

Times like these, I feel my best.

Cause loving you is easy.

It's staying that's hard.

My dreams are calling on a platinum card.

Don't ask me to stay,

It's just too hard.

All Those Lost

Two huge beams of light

Reach for the sky

Like they're trying to reach

Those who said good-bye

Why so many?

Why so far away?

Women, children, men

Of all races and ages.

So many people from so many nations,

All lost with just one quick motion.

Lost, gone but not forgotten.

I, myself, will never forget.

Those humans lost inspired me

To use my gift, so all can see.

May these words help all who reads.

Help the loss that inspired me.
